Q Methodology: An Introduction

A general introductory talk will provide coverage of all aspects of Q methodological research 'in brief', including study design, data gathering, data analysis, including factor extraction, factor rotation, the preparation of factor arrays for interpretation, and the process of factor interpretation itself. Participants will have the opportunity to do a hands on data collection sort. Q methodology will also be considered in light of other research methods. A demonstration will then be provided of the data analytic PQMethod. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the output file of PQ Method.
This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme, or early career researcher*, at the University of Northampton. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).
* We define Early Career Researchers (ECRs) as those members of University staff starting out on their career whose work role involves a substantial amount of research.
